After Geller's demonstrations in England were shown, many scientists who had previously shown little or no interest in psychic phenomena began seriously investigating extraordinary human capabilities. Dr. J. B. Rhine, Dr. J. G. Pratt, Dr. Gertrude Schmeidler, Dr. J. G. Soal, Dr. G. W. Fisk, Dr. Donald J. West, Dr. Milan Ryzl, Dr. Montague Ullman, Dr. Stanley Krippner, Dr. Helmut Schmidt and Dr. Bernard Grad and other scientists showed great interest in these spiritual subjects with dozens of laboratory conditions under very strict control, showing very clear evidential results from parapsychology experiments.

a — Margaret Mead: Science and Parapsychology

Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff, together, have verified a demonstrated human talent that has been authenticated up to this point. Measuring this skill through their work has proven its reliability. This experiment, during laboratory execution, used especially produced light rays, specially designed random number generators, and specially made measurement devices from cathode ray components to create a reliable repertoire of classical experiments.

Contemporary quantum physics, special capabilities of electromagnetic fields and related research in brain research, everyone from the beginning, has this newly observed capability that can be exercised by Targ and Puthoff's study results in their human test methodology. "Up to now, no one has ever actually caught Geller committing fraud or trickery. The worst that can be said is that he has occasionally failed in certain tests. For example, in the very experiments suggested by Time magazine's so-called 'experts' — when Geller did not perform particularly well — the editors at Time rushed to conclude that his psi abilities were not real. In fact, it is entirely natural that a sensitive individual might be unable to demonstrate his ability under such pressure."

"This, of course, does not prove Geller's failure — nor does it need to, for if Geller had performed flawlessly in every trial, then we would have good reason to doubt the reality of his ability. Personally, I cannot accept that the science editor of Time possessed the expertise or judgment required to undertake an evaluation of one of the most complex aspects of parapsychology."

"Of course, in the meantime, Geller continues to give successful demonstrations of paranormal ability and willingly cooperates with scientists who present him with reasonable research proposals."

d — Nature Magazine: Parapsychology and Uri Geller

The world's most serious scientific journal, Nature, published this comment about the Uri Geller Phenomenon on December 7, 1973:

"To the English, in recent times, Uri Geller has been leaving a unique phenomenon. Children, farmers have been twisted, empty hours have been stirred and seemingly telepathic successes have been achieved. However, it's generally accepted in the middle of these events that these events can't be generally accepted as an explanation."

a — Prof. John Taylor: Uri and Experiments

At Stanford, Uri Geller's experimental conditions applied science research revealed a situation regarding the metal-bending phenomenon. Research emerged around the physical pressure possibility in Geller's metal-building work. To understand how such physical effects remain intact, these measurements needed to be taken together.

During the first six months, measuring conditions were applied when a certain power was measured during the experiment. Therefore, by metal-bending experiment in Geller's applied power, testing was conducted to determine how much pressure was needed for metal bending and what this had to do with testing.

Geiger Counter Experiments

Geller's influence on metal and plastic pieces was considerable during scientific research. Metal pieces between 8-10 centimeters were used. Geller, first, without touching anything, tried metal bending. Despite this achievement, meanwhile, a very sensitive Geiger counter detector was placed near the test tools to record whether there were any effects in the area.

The experiment aimed to determine whether Geller could produce a reading on a Geiger counter; the test was intended to show whether Geller could generate radioactive radiation. When we placed the counter near Geller, it registered only a few negligible counts, essentially zero. At the same time, we had accounted for the average background from cosmic rays, which produced about two counts per second.

At first, nothing happened. But with extreme concentration and a rising pulse, after a brief interval, the counter registered approximately 50 counts over two seconds. The audible clicks heightened the tension. Through a small speaker, each count produced a 'beep.' Before Geller touched the device, the clicks sounded as a steady 'beep… beep… beep…' Once the counter was in Geller's hands, the beeping suddenly surged into a rapid crescendo, resembling a warning siren, as if approaching dangerous radiation.

When Geller relaxed his concentration, the surge and the visual fluctuations ceased. In subsequent efforts, a deviation of about 100 counts produced a near 'scream.' The final attempt produced a record of 1,000 counts per second, lasting about twelve seconds. This was 500 times the background rate, and during the peak, the device emitted a shrill 'scream.'

Experimental Results Analysis

The results of these experiments were internally consistent:

1. Metal Bending Effect: The bending of the aluminum piece inside the closed wire-mesh tube and the rapid breaking of a teaspoon clearly confirmed the 'metal-bending effect.'
2. Electromagnetic Radiation Theory: The bending of the metal inside the wire mesh suggested that if the 'Geller Effect' were caused by electromagnetic radiation, only a very limited wavelength range could be responsible. Any radiation capable of bending the internal objects would have to have a wavelength of less than one centimeter.
3. Geiger Counter Variations: The observations included a wide range of effects, including significant variations in readings recorded by a Geiger counter. Many types of natural background electromagnetic radiation could also produce diverse effects.

b — Uri's Metal Bending Experiments

Uri Geller visited the laboratory for three hours on June 20, 1974. During this period, various experiments had been prepared for different subjects. In the laboratory, there was something like a metal piece, almost comparable to the study system found in King's College that could possibly measure Geller's capabilities.

Instead of using the main apparatus, very fine measurement instruments that could measure exactly, and items that could measure the calculation of weights, a 20 cm long piece was installed. A rice grain-like object was determined by the printing pressure to be placed. Geller, looking at the rice grain, realized that the pressure loss was much more than the automatic loss of pressure.

During the experiment, the rice grain bent more than 10° even though Geller did not touch anything at all during the experiment period. Twenty rice grains were measured one per minute. The bending pattern during the experiment increased to at least 70° during the bending period.

Aluminum Piece Experiment

The other experimental arrangement was basically a small aluminum piece sent to a small cylindrical tube surrounded by a sensitive scale. The scale was sensitive to the position against the weight of the scale. The aluminum piece was lightly oscillated by aluminum pressure to balance the pressure applied inside the device.

Geller's experiment produced results. Geller, by taking an aluminum piece by hand, pressed it at the appropriate part by lowering his electrical measurement. However, the bending event occurred by the mechanism that came from this regulation that did not come from his hand. This development led to about 200 English pounds worth of technical equipment being damaged!

Crystal Experiments

For contactless influence effects on the experimenter, there was a tiny piece of lithium crystal placed on top, and within 10 seconds, the crystal had opened into several pieces. There was no intention of unlimited crystal holding for Geller. Generally, Geller could see the gap between his hands and find the place where the crystal gap could be opened.

Professor John Taylor, who conducted these experiments, wrote in his book "Superminds" (1975) the following in his Postscript:

"I was writing these articles, related to ESP and related discussions that were still continuing. This book started in this field, I had taken a stance toward parapsychological phenomena, some situations where they had been identified, some had said there were some continuing results more accurate than what seemed to be expected. Particularly, metallurgy phenomena had opened too much discussion, but this was not exactly what I had expected."

Nitinol Experiments

When Geller bent Nitinol alone, he was able to change its features. In 1974, a plate had been given for Geller's bending, and without Geller having touched it, effects were obtained from the surface. Kent University metallurgy professor Wilbur Franklin examined the surface findings and investigated each associated region of 0.025 cm, finding different formations. Some regions showed different results, with chemical solutions around 200°C areas, but no warming or cooling effects could be found.

Film Documentation

Psychic magazine owner and publisher James Grayson Bolen's 1973 report about Uri documented metal bending on film. During Geller's demonstration, Bolen obtained a metal piece and put it together with others. The metal was bent and came to lower right direction. A Super 8 camera had been used to record the effect.

In the film, the fork was seen to be bent by being held with a certain force. An external force application had taken place over 24 hours of recording. The fork's film showed the slow progress required for the bending to be manifested through slow progress and display forms.

3. SECTION - URI GELLER, MAGICIANS AND CRITICS

a — Uri's Opposition: Convincing Magicians

Geller never claimed that he could perform anything but was often criticized for many experiments that were not accepted scientifically. This claim, when people try the most basic simple ways of thinking, would not be compatible while many inconsistencies in generalization had been made.

Geller's metal-bending experiments could be repeated at a definite level of evidence. Magicians who performed together with Geller achieved quite satisfactory results and published reports on their experiments.

William Edward Cox's Investigation

American Magicians Association member William Edward Cox had around 40 years of experience in this matter and had published books on the subject. Cox was also involved in parapsychological consultation and had confidence in investigating paranormal events that could not be explained by sleight of hand. Cox investigated Geller in April 1974.

Cox made key bending tests with Geller, witnessed by others including magician Randi and parapsychologist Charles Honorton. During the experiment, Cox placed a key holder on the table surface. Geller pressed the key holder's left piece with his hand using little pressure. Cox observed that the key's left part could be pressed 6 degrees more when pressure was increased.

Cox said this about the experiment:

"The bending was light since the key holder was being pressed by hand throughout. For this to be the work, it was an excellent timing. The key holder was shown from its 35 cm distant height. Against this, something quite similar had never been seen."

In Cox's first key test, he stated:

"I was pressing the key holder with outside hand pressure. Geller, only pushed the key holder there 2.5 cm away. This was measured exactly, exactly 36 degrees towards above."

b — Magicians' Society's Attitude toward Uri

The most famous critics among magicians included David Berglas in England, and in America, Milbourne Christopher and James Randi. Although James Randi was not a Geller historical expert, he was admitted to be a very skilled magician. However, these critics provided valuable services by showing how, using deception, one could reproduce effects that might appear paranormal to an untrained observer.

The major problem with critics like Randi was that they tried to treat as a "laboratory investigation" what were in fact demonstrations conducted in environments filled with the authority and atmosphere of a lab, yet presented to a general audience as if they were rigorous scientific tests.

c — Parapsychological Magazines and Related Experiments

On December 17, 1979 evening, the famous magician Harry Houdini's investigator, Ms. Dawn Randel, along with other experts, performed at a beach house in Redondo Beach, California. The investigation involved boxes placed in various locations on a platform.

The boxes were fully controlled during the investigation. According to Commissioner Schrader, the investigation showed no one could have accessed the boxes initially. About 20 minutes later, when police arrived, the boxes appeared empty, showing themselves in critical condition.

City official Reis Hayward stated: "I was shocked, there was the box!" Commissioner Schrader later said: "The boxes arrived at El Segundo. The magicians' boxes were 14.5 feet from the Xerox building. There, what memory they had been identified could not be determined by local police."

4. SECTION - COSMIC CIVILIZATIONS, SPACE CHILDREN

a — Cosmic Civilizations and World Operations

Geller first discussed the subject of Cosmic Civilizations years before, during his work with Psychic magazine publisher J.G. Bolen. In the magazine's June 1973 issue, Geller stated that he had heard his Psi-Power was needed because it came from a cosmic source.

In Psychic magazine, Uri Geller was defined as "the only known resource form for the Observer Powers":

"Once I came to understand that I was a psychic person, I thought about whom to use these powers for. Nature provided this force, and what had been my life was about this 'old thing' that I was; I was clear about the special field that was for me."

Dr. A. Puharich, in his 1974 published writings titled "Uri," explained Uri Geller's world mission and said he came from the space ship Spectra to Hoova Planet. The Hoova Civilization's messages were explained through Spectra.

Tom, in an announcement given on August 13, 1974, made this important explanation to Uri Geller:

"Uri was selected to come to this planet. We all worked together and understood that, after Uri's scientific evidence of paranormal powers, physics would start working on planet nutrition, providing announcements about reality. This conversation wasn't just enough for us, but for lifetime works greater than what was available..."

According to Tom, Hoova was among over a hundred worlds that had been changing world politics to create change. This strategy involved first a preparation stage, then Space Ships coming to cover the world with all connections. Uri Geller was one of the people involved in this work.

b — Space Children and Their Earthly Duties

Dr. Andrija Puharich, between 1975-1978, examined 34 children he called 'Space Children,' who, like Uri Geller, had similar abilities. These children were living in various countries around the world including Denmark, England, Canada, Japan, and Mexico.

The presence of these Space Children was first understood when they watched Geller's TV shows, and then many children discovered they had metal-bending abilities. Prof. John Taylor mentioned these children in his book 'Super Minds' and described their experiments and possibilities.

During Puharich's work, he participated in radio and TV programs in various countries and brought many children for research. Some of these children played with their abilities with great relaxation, as if it were a simple game. But these Space Children could perform various PK events, healing abilities, and many other parapsychological phenomena.

Puharich brought healing abilities to these children during their work. They also demonstrated treatment capabilities. Some children, while watching television, showed they could influence events from a distance.

Abilities of Space Children

Space Children also had spiritualistic powers. This ability included mediumistic capabilities and trance spirit entrance. During home sessions, Puharich asked one California girl: "Do you want to ask questions to Einstein?" The children responded that they could communicate with various entities.

They also provided geometric and mathematical formulas related to dimensional understanding to Puharich. Moreover, one child from Mexico reported connection with the galactic body numbered M32.

The Space Children had paranormal abilities including creative writing, healing abilities, and various perception capabilities. However, everyone lived as normal children in their daily lives. Puharich believed these children provided evidence of phenomena that contributed to world dysfunction events and environmental contributions.

Even though only 34 children were examined, Puharich believed Space Children were found on all sides of the world. According to Puharich, these children came from advanced civilizations to help with earthly food and assistance, not to be harmful.

Puharich's conclusion about this was:

"The Space Children's power is not weapons power or parasital power providing. Only and only service work they have."

"There are now material powers in service to matter. They have come like this. They want themselves to be in service much more. This is the nutrition road they want."
