B: I want to come to you first [to W]

W: Oh, my God.

B: Well I saw the spirit form of a man with you, while I’ve been talking. There’s a sprit form of a young man come in there with you. … Quite a young man, I would say, could have been possibly late teens, he might have been in his twenties when he passed on to the other side, or when he died if you like to call it that. But he’s somebody linking with you very, very closely. [P] It’s a very close link. [p] And it’s … [p] You’ve got a link abroad, haven’t you?

W: Yeah, my cousins …

B: Don’t tell me anything, just "yes" or "no".

W: Yeah.

B: You’ve got a link abroad, haven’t you?

W: Yeah.

B: Yeah. ‘Cause I felt as if there’s somebody had passed away abroad, I don’t think it was in England.

W: No …

B: But this young man is there, and he’s very closely watching you. You understand that, don’t you [W: Yeah] And you understand why he’s watching you, as well, don’t you?

W: Yeah.

B: Yeah. And you are a little bit at times over-anxious. [P] Or, are you a little bit at times over-worried? [W glances at C] Don’t look at her ‘cause she can’t answer for you. [P]

W: [noncommittal grunt].

B: You’re a little bit over-worried. You get [Aside to spirits: "yes, I know she does"] You get ever-so tense at times. D’you understand me, tense all up. You could scream … and you do scream. Oh, my God, yes, she don’t half scream when she wants to. [P] You’ve got a mother, haven’t you, living [W: Uh huh …] on this side of life. [P] Would you have a grandmother on the other side, dear, please?

W: Um.

B: Grandmother, in the spirit world?

W: Yeah.

B: Yeah. ‘Cause when I said your mother I got grandmother come ever-so strongly there with you. [P] And I’ve also got a man with you, another man with you this time, gone to the other side of life. … That would have gone out very quickly, that had a very quick passing. [P] There was no illness, he just, what, dropped down dead, you might call it; he just died very, very quickly. … And he also is a link with your family and I feel that he would come in on your father’s side of the family. A link with your father, there. [P] Leave him, don’t worry about him, he’s here. … He could be a great uncle to you, I’m going back perhaps some time, but I got a man who just went over very, very quickly. [P] I want to link with America … and why do I want to link with America, or with the States? [p] You don’t know?

W: [response indistinct, possibly "I don’t know"]

B: You’ve never had any sort of wish that you would go to the States at some time? [P] No? Well don’t be surprised if you do .. cause I’ve got a link with the States. And I feel that you will go out to the States … Be nice … take me with you, I could do with a holiday in the States. But I definitely had a link with the States. … And who’s Margaret, then?

W: Who?

B: Who’s Margaret? Somebody called Margaret? [P] All right, wait … If you’ve got … I give you a name you don’t know nothing about it you can remember that I’ve given you the name of Margaret, ‘cause you’re going to meet up with somebody called Margaret. … Now, why have I got a Catholic link with you, dear, please?

W: Catholic?

B: Yeah.

W: I’m a Catholic.

B: You’re a Catholic yourself, are you? That’s the link Catholic link then. ‘Cause [what] I actually saw with you was the rosary beads, as I call ‘em. Know what I mean wi’ ya [W: yeah] rosary beads, don’t you. You use ’em for prayers at times, like "hail Marys" and "hallelujahs" on the end, Ha, Ha! All right, because I’ve just got the rosary beads and that would link very much with the Catholic. … So you are a Catholic?

W: Um.

B: Um. That’s all right, well, long as you’re a good Catholic and not one that’s strayed off the pathway, it don’t matter. [W: laughs self-consciously] She’s not a very good Catholic, I don’t think. Are you?

W: No. [Laughs]

B: You don’t go to Mass very often, do you? No, I don’t know, they’re just telling me. [P] It’s your grandmother that’s telling me this, says "she don’t go to Mass very often" [P] They know all about us on the other side of life. [P] [B turns to C] Did you used to drive a car at one time?

C: I’ve got a car.

B: You’ve got a car … have you got a car? [mumble] I said, did you used to drive one at one time? [mumble from addressee] You’ve only just recently had the car. Only I saw a car actually, with you and I saw a car accident. Somebody that was involved in a …

C: I had a car accident.

B: You were involved in a car accident; that was you yourself, was it? ‘Cause I just got a car and a [sort of?] accident in a car. … And I’ve got a link here very closely with a gentleman on the other side of life … that comes very, very close to you. [P] And I want to link you with a rather tallish man … I would say he could be about five-foot-ten in height, he’s a quite slenderish man, he wasn’t a very big-built man. [P] And I want to link also to with a child with you too. While I was talking to your friend there, there was a child came in and stood beside your chair. A little child here that I feel would be linked with your family. Who lost a wee baby, dear, please?

C: Um, my sister did.

B: Your sister lost a wee … quite a wee one [C: yeah], I see. Growing up a little bit in the spirit world [thickens ya?] He stood there just next to your chair, and looked up into your little face (‘cause she got a little face). And I’ve got such lovely feeling with this ‘cause, you see, children always bring a lot of happiness and joy to us, don’t they? They also teach us a lot of things children do, as well. I think they’re teaching you a lot from the other side of life as well. Who’s John, please? [P]

C: My uncle, I’ve got an uncle John.

B: Living?

C: Yeah.

B: Not dead, Living?

C: Yeah.

B: On the Earth plane? Yes. Uh, would that be actually a link away from this area somewhere, dear, please?

C: Where he lives?

B: Yeah.

C: He lives in America.

B: [P] Oh, what a […?], ‘cause I don’t know who I’m talking about [with America/at the moment?] ‘cause I got a link with America; that could be … I do pick up with things with, when there’s two or three people together. [To W:] That could have been what I was talking to you … what’s your name, pet?

W: Wendy.

B: Wendy, you are. That could have been the link with America, you see. [To C:] That’s your uncle, is it, in America?

C Yeah.

B: Thank you very much [possibly to spirits]. And would you also understand a link to a lady that’s passed over (we call it ‘passed over’) that would have died in a hospital, please?

C: My Nan did.

B: In a hospital bed?

C: Yeah.

B: While I was just telling you about the little one here, I went into an hospital and there was an empty bed so I know that somebody died in a hospital. That’s your grandmother.

C: Um.

B: She’s quite close to you isn’t she? Do you feel her around you quite a bit?

C: Yeah.

B: Would she have been rather a strong personality?

C: Um.

B: Quite a strong personality, yes. Well, I feel that she gives you a lot of strength, actually, and she does feed your mind quite a lot. ‘Cause you get a lot of thoughts come in to you at times, don’t you?

C: Um.

C: Yeah … yeah.

B: You’re not quite sure?

C: Not quite sure.

B: No, well. I’m going back ‘round about two hundred years with you. [P] Two hundred years back, when you were on the Earth-plane, you were linked with the Catholic faith then, and you were actually in a convent. [P]

C: Oh, that explains … that explains … [C and W exchange glances]

B: All right, then, … [indistinct word] You were in a convent and you’ve got with you now, which is your guardian angel, or your chief guide, you’ve got a Sister of Mercy [more glances between C and W and surprise shown by C] and she was with you when you were in that convent. She was your Superior. And, you know, when you decided to come back in to this life she said she wasn’t going to be reborn, but she’d come with you as your spirit-helper, your spirit-guide, and she’s always with you. [P] Would you understand the name of Michelle? [P] You’ve never heard the name of Michelle? [P] Well, that’s what her name is, she’s called Sister Michelle. And she would be a French order. Because her vestments are in blue not in black, and she’s there with you now. And you, when you were in the convent, you were a teacher [P], you were a teacher in a convent school. And, you know, you passed back in to spirit at the age of twen … thirty-nine. [Aside: all right Charlie, don’t show me up.] You were thirty-nine when you passed back in to spirit, so you were quite young. [P] The old girl, she was eighty-nine, she passed when she was eighty-nine, when she kicked the bucket. But she’s here, and she’s often with you. I feel she is one of those who puts a lot of what I call mental thoughts in to your mind; she feeds your mind. … Did you go to Sunday School when you were [small?] ?

C: No, I didn’t.

B: No, you never went to Sunday School. All right, don’t worry about it; I’ve got a link with Sunday School here, there’s something to do with Sunday School. And somebody would have gone to a Sunday School at one time, please? And there would have been a link also at one time with the Church of England? [P] Could you understand a link with the Church of England?

C: Yes.

B: ‘Cause I’ve got me, well, what I call a prayer-book with me in the Church of England, I got a prayer-book. [C: Um.] And somebody here is bringing in this, and talking about prayers. Well prayers, again, are thoughts, aren’t they? So a lot of your thoughts can be, actually, prayers. You’ve got a Sister, a nursing Sister with you [to W], if I switch back to you a minute. That would be your guardian angel. ‘Cause when you were on the Earth-plane you were a nurse. Are you interested in caring for people? [P] Something you brought back with you from a previous incarnation. You would have been a nurse for many, many years. Actually [aside to spirits, "I know she was"] you were what I would call, or what we call, a medical missionary. Because you were a missionary and you also did a lot of medical work. And you worked with [aside to spirits, "I know she did"] … my guide says you worked for many years in the Belgian Congo. [P] You worked amongst leprosy. And you were actually a sister, you were actually the … I feel that [aside to spirits, "yes, okay"] [3/4 words indistinct, possibly still to spirits] that you, when you were on the Earth-plane that time, you lived with nursing and caring for people. You’ve got a great sensitivity with you, as well, you have. You’re very caring, you’re very sensitive to people, um. Do you want to ask me a question?

C: Um. I’ve got a, um, a nun in here, if you know what I mean?

B: Yes, I know. She’s always here. She’s always here, isn’t she? [C laughs nervously] You knows she’s here, don’t you? [C: yes] She’s very closely with you, and she does come to you quite often. She says she’s often here. She’s isn’t always here, but she’s here quite often. Never far away. Ever near, so unseen, the dear departed spirits dwell. All this boundless universe is life. There is no death. ... Did you have a dog at one time?

C: Yeah.

B: That passed on to the other side of life?

C: Yeah.

B: [Indistinct word] I saw a dog come running in through from there ... I don’t know what’s over there ... a cat, a dog just come running through and its gone running back again. [P] Lovely, aint it? Lovely. I love it.

[Long pause]

B continues to W: He’s got a wonderful brain, that boy, aint he?

W: A wonderful ... ?

B: Brain.

W: [laughs] Yeah.

B: Yeah, he’s very brainy, really

W: Yeah.

B: And he’ll go quite a long way. [P] He’s only young, of course, yet, but he’s going to go quite a long way. Um.

B: Are you linked at all with carpentry?

S: I’m not, no.

B: So why do I get wood with you, then? Because when I first came in and I saw you, I got some planks of wood with you.

S: Well I’ve been called thick as a plank.

B: Pardon?

S: Uh, I’ve been called thick as a plank. [Laughs]

B: I didn’t say you was thick as a plank.

S: I said I have been called thick as a plank. [Laughs]

B: You have been called as thick as a plank but, I wouldn’t say you was thick as a plank, ‘cause you’re not really, you know. I think you’re a bit crafty, if it boils down to it.

S: Who me?

B: Um?

S: Who me?

B: Yeah, I’m talking to you. You’re a bit crafty, ain’t you. You want to know a lot, and you do know a lot, as well, don’t you? [S: Umm ...] And there aint know flies on you is there, either?

S: [Laughs]

B: No, no, I know that very well. ... Well, actually what I saw with you was these planks of wood. [P] Well, that could be symbolic ... ‘cause planks of wood would be something supporting something. ... So I would say to you, then, that you could be a supporting tower yourself. You could be a tower of strength. [P] And you know you’re very capable really, aren’t you? [P] I’m not giving you any compliments, matey; you wouldn’t get them from me if you wanted. But I feel you’re a very capable person, and I feel that if you put your mind to do anything you can do it. It’s putting your mind to it, ain’t it?

S: Um.

B: Yeah. Ah, right, um. Who would have been linked at one time with the airforce, please? [S: Um?] Only, I just got airforce-blue, seeing just airforce blue, I’m not seeing the spirit of anybody; so they could be still on the Earth-plane. ... It’s something to do with the airforce, somebody you would have known or ... could have been linked with the airforce? You haven’t always lived in this area, have you?

S: Um, no, no.

B: You haven’t always linked [possibly "lived"] in this area.

S: No, no, not as a child, no.

B: No, all right. Could I link with the north with you, please?

S: Um ...

B: [Possibly, "no"] Well, I’ve got a link with the north.

S: Well, I was further up north, um ...

B: You were further up north than this?

S: Yeah, [B: Yeah], not by an awfully long way.

B: No, don’t matter. ... You wouldn’t have a link at all with the north country, would you please?

S: Um, no.

B: When I was talking to, ... Charlotte (got your name [C: Yeah], and that’s Wendy [W laughs]). While I was talking to Charlotte, actually, I got, I was being shown Yorkshire. And I know it wasn’t anything to do with ... that was something to do with Yorkshire; you’ve had nothing to do with Yorkshire, at all?

S: No, I haven’t, no.

B: Well, will you watch and remember that I’ve said to you something about Yorkshire? It may be you could be going to Yorkshire, it could be a link with somebody from Yorkshire, I don’t know. I got definitely a link with Yorkshire, with you. [P] And there was somebody connected with your family, going back, that emmigrated. Who emmigrated with your family?

S: Ooh [thoughtfully], ...

B to C: Was he Ian? He wasn’t Ian, was he? What’s his name?

C: Steve.

B: Steve.

S: That’s it. ... It’s difficult because I don’t know ... it’s quite a big circle, really ...

B: There was somebody ...

S: [indistinct] ... back on to ...

B: Look, I feel it would be probably when you were quite a lad that somebody emmigrated ... somebody went to Australia. [P] They just give me somebody that went out to Australia.

S: It could be my memory that’s out.

B: Don’t worry, don’t worry. Just got a link with Australia. Well if you don’t know about this, I think you’re going to know something about it. [P] Do you have a brother?

S: Um, no I don’t.

B: No brother?

S: No.

B: Not ... nor half-brothers or, uh, ...

S: Half-brother is possible, but I’m absolutely not certain.

B: Ah. I just mentioned brother when I was talking, so that would be ... you have a brother-in-law, then?

S: Uh, no.

B: Okay, so definitely a half-brother, there then [two or three words, possibly, "though you don’t recall it"] there’s definitely a link with a brother. And I want to link also with you, too ... again with somebody that used to be linked up with nursing ... they’re not passed on, they’re still on this Earth-plane. Somebody you knew at one time was linked with nursing. And this, again, I feel would be somebody connected with your family.

S: My ... my ex-wife was a dental-nurse for a time.

B: All right then, your ex-wife was ... ooh, my God, ‘ex’s. How many ‘ex’s have you had?

C: None [Laughs.]

B: That’s all right, I didn’t say that to you, darling. I was talking about him, how many ‘ex’s has he had?

S: Just the one.

B: Oh well, perhaps there’s another one to come, then is there? So she was a dental-nurse, was she? ... that’s all right, then, ‘cause that will do with nursing. But she’s still alive, she’s still on the Earth-plane? You didn’t get rid of her, did you [laughs]?

S: No, no ...

S: ... Well I, actually, work in a supermarket.

B. You work in a supermarket?

S: Yeah.

B: Well, that’s business, then isn’t it, that’s a connection with business.

S: Yeah.

B: Not your business, something to do with business.

S: No, sorry. Actually my friend has just started a business, and officially I’m the Company Secretary. But I take no notice or interest in it what goes on in the company.

B: Don’t matter, to do with business. So if you’re something to do with that, that would be to do with that then. [S. Um] That’s your friend, is it? It was something to do with business. Definitely there with you. Would that be, would that involve paper or accounts?

S: For him more than me.

B: Yes, yes, all right, thank you. And you wouldn’t be sort of interested in accounts or doing accounts, would you please?

S: No, no, my maths is probably too bad.

B: Can’t look after your own money, can you?

S: No.

B: Goes too quickly ...

S: It certainly does.

B: They’re talking about accounts ... well, that probably might be about how much you can’t balance your own accounts. I don’t know, but just talking about balance there, with you. And somebody you would have known at one time would have lived by the sea.

S: Yeah.

B: Who would have lived by the sea that you knew at one time, please?

S: Hum, probably ... probably my grandparents.

B: [P] Now you, this is not you but there’s somebody else, leaving you on one side for a minute, there’s somebody else you would have known that’s had a broken marriage. Who’s had a broken marriage, please?

S: Not close to me.

B: Not that close.

S: Not, not close, uh [B: Right] Well, not close on sort of ...

B: I actually saw with you what I call a broken wedding-ring, but you’ve told me about your own, so it won’t be that at all. It’s definitely somebody else had a broken marriage. [P] And wasn’t there, yes there was, wasn’t there a division in your family at one time?

S: Um. ... uh hum.

B: Quite a division? Sort of, one lot went one way, one lot went the other way. I don’t think they really ever got back together, did they?

S: Umm ...

B: There’s quite a mixed feeling here, with people as I’m talking to you; I’ve got people that would be, sort of mixed-up people I call them, mixed-up people. [S: Um.] But I don’t feel that they ever really got back together. [P] There was always that difference there. And a lot of this was actually caused through jealousy. [P]

S: That could be.

B: That is. Well I think it. [P] And you would have known somebody at one time that had been linked with music [P] I’ve got a lot of music with you, I don’t know whether you’re fond of music.

S: Yeah, quite fond of music.

B: [Irritatating brat obscures conversation] ... But a lot of people ... but I’ve got somebody with me that’s passed on to the other side of life, that would have been linked at one time with a band. [P] I’ve got somebody actually here blowing a trumpet. [P] So you must watch out for this ... somebody blowing a trumpet. Well that could be symbolic of news .... you wouldn’t be anticipating or expecting some news, would you? [P] All right ...

S: Nothing, nothing important.

B: Well, all right, expect something important. Well, I think you’re going to have some quite good news coming to you. Quite good news, yeah.

S: Makes a change.

B: And you are going to be very pleased about something, too. [P] Sport, why do I get sport with you then? ... You’re not a sporty person? [P]

S: Um. Not on the active side. Well, I like watching some ...

B: Yeah, but you’re not really active. Well what do you actually do ... I shouldn’t be asking you this, I suppose ... but what do you actually do for your exercise?

S: Oh, exercise, my job’s quite hard. [Waffle expunged]

B: Do you do enough outside as well, do you?

S: Um, probably not, no.

[Waffle expunged] ....

B: There’s something to do with outside, and I think you need more (excuse me being rude to you) but I think you need more fresh air.

S: [Laughs]

B: You don't think, [...?] now, but you need more fresh air. I think you get a lot [...?] walking about inside, but you don’t get a lot of fresh air, do you?

S: No, probably not, no.

B: It would be good for you. [P]

S: Um, uh ...

B: Do you wanna ask questions ...

S: I was gonna say, I ... the one person , um, who I thought they’re might be something from is my father.

B: But I didn’t get it, so I can’t, [S: No], I can’t, you see, we can’t ever tell who’s coming through. [S: No] But if he’d have come through I’d have got it for you, and I’d have told you, but I haven’t got anything at all, though, with your dad though; I’m not going to make anything up, ‘cause I wouldn’t; I mean, that wouldn’t be honest if I made things up, I mean, if I said, "oh yes, you’re father’s here, he’s saying this, he’s saying that", but to me that’s not right, you see, we got to be honest. The spirits don’t want me to be otherwise, of course. [P]

C: Was there anything from my father?

B: No ... no ... I didn’t get anything, only just your link with your grandmother, that was all. So, you see, sometimes again they’re not around. And then they come closer to us. ‘Cause they’re active on the other side of life, they’ve still got they’re interests over there, you see. They can’t be always with us. I don’t want them to be always with me ‘cause that wouldn’t be good, they’d see some of the things I do

C: Can you say ... can you see if we’re going to be all right? As we go on, what’s going to come?

B: I can’t tell you anything what’s going to come, I’m not a fortune-teller, so I’m not going to say your fortune’s going to be good. If I say anything clairvoyantly, ... for your good I’d give it to you, if I see anything bad for you, I’d give it to you, ‘cause I’m honest, you see? Well some people say you shouldn’t tell people that, then I say you got to be honest, and people wanna know and they don’t wanna be told a lot of tom-and-old-foolery business.
