Greater Tel Aviv has recently been sinking into two types of pastimes: Uri Geller evenings and cheese evenings. This time I will focus on the first type. A friend, who recently returned from reserve duty in Sinai, heard soldiers near the canal telling one another about the wonders of Uri Geller, which they witnessed on leave in Tel Aviv. Uri Geller is a handsome-plus guy, 23 years old, who after his discharge from the IDF engaged in clerical work and modeling on the runway and under the camera lights (“I had a model girlfriend, and she said I fit the part”…), and for about two and a half months now he has been earning his bread — a lot of bread — in telepathy.
